Chapter 13 Creditor Meeting Questions

The Chapter 13 Trustee is going to ask you certain questions during your creditor meeting.  You are answering the questions under the penalty of perjury, so make sure that you answer all questions honestly.  You can review the questions before the hearing and please let us know if there are any questions you don't understand.

1.  Please state your name.

2.  Are you the individual whose name appears on the bankruptcy petition as the Debtor?

3.  Is the information in your bankruptcy papers true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge?

4.  Did you review your bankruptcy papers before signing them?

5.  Did you personally sign your bankruptcy papers?

6.  Have you filed bankruptcy in the last eight years that you did not disclose in your bankruptcy petition?

7.  Have you purchased a vehicle in the last 6 months that you have not disclosed in your bankruptcy schedules?

8.  Are all of your assets identified in your bankruptcy papers?

9.  Have you sold or given away any property in the one year before your bankruptcy filing?

10.  Have you or do you intend to sue anyone for money?

11.  Are you required to pay child support or alimony?

12.  Have you lived in Utah for more than two years?

13.  Have you moved since you filed bankruptcy?

14.  Is a copy of the tax refund you provided a true copy of the most recent tax return that you have filed?

15.  Have you filed your 2023 state and federal tax returns? (If yes, did you file them before or after your bankruptcy?  Are you expecting a refund?)
